- Functional Role in Thermal System: Aluminium fin tubes are developed to be more effective in terms of heat transfer in cases where quick heat response and light weight equipment are needed. They are highly thermal conductive and therefore, can be used in air-cooled systems as well as gas-to-liquid heat exchange systems in which effective heat dissipation is needed and optimization of space is needed.
- Manufacturing Process/ Fin Geometry:They are manufactured by extrusion, mechanical bonding, or roll on finning of these fin tubes to provide good contact of the fins to the tube. The profile of the fin, distance and height of the fin are also designed in such a way that the airflow resistance is countered with the maximum surface area, which enhances the overall thermal performance without enhancing the pressure drop.
- Quality and Grade Deviations on Material: The most common grade of aluminium fin tubes used is 1060 or 3003 or 6063 depending on the operating temperature and the exposure to corrosion. These grades have a good resistance to atmospheric corrosion and also offer formability and structural integrity in the long-term service.
- Service Life/ Operational Advantages: Aluminium fin tubes are good against oxidation and have good ability to resist oxidation in the normal environment and can easily be handled, installed and maintained. They are lightweight, so they do not have to carry heavy structures on the frames of the heat exchanger, and can therefore be used continuously in HVAC, power generation, and general industrial cooling.

Air-side heat transfer is found in such applications as aluminium fin tubes where weight, thermal conductivity, and corrosion resistance are necessary. The height of the fins and extrusion quality have a direct effect on the heat dissipation and the airflow behavior on the tube surface. Grade selection influences mechanical strength and cyclic thermal loads performance. Helical Fin Tubes may also be considered in compact thermal designs with greater fin density and better air turbulence are required in small space of installation.
Type of Sub-products

Extruded Fin Tube Extruded Fin Tube
The fin is formed from the base tube material by extrusion, creating a strong, solid bond. This type is highly durable and ideal for harsh environments and high thermal conductivity.

L Foot Fin Tube L Foot Fin Tube
An aluminium fin is tightly wrapped around the tube with an “L” shaped foot at the base for better grip. It's economical and used in moderate temperature and non-corrosive applications.
