Tap End Stud Bolts

Tap end stud bolts are commonly used in industrial equipment that requires a fixed connection on one end and removable access on the other. These bolts are ideal for applications such as cylinder heads, compressor casings, pump bodies, valve assemblies and turbine housings. The short threaded end is screwed into a tapped hole for permanent fixture while the longer threaded end allows for fastening with a nut. Tap end stud bolts have two threads of unequal length where the shorter thread is designed to be screwed into a tapped hole and the longer thread is used for nut fastening. This allows for a permanent installation on one side and easy disassembly on the other. In contrast, double end stud bolts have equal thread lengths on both sides and are typically used where the bolt passes through an unthreaded component with nuts on each end. Tap end studs are ideal for fixed flanged assemblies while double end studs suit through hole connections requiring uniform tension on both ends.
