- Application Scope: Weld Nuts are commonly used in the automotive structure, manufacturer of heavy equipment, sheet metal fabrication, steel structure, enclosures, and chassis assembly. They are created to establish permanent threaded holding location in metal surfaces in which through-bolting is not possible.
- Construction: The projections, tabs or welded bases in these nuts provide the ability to be welded securely using spot welding, MIG welding, or projection welding. After welding they provide good thread connections, which are not loosened during installation and service even under vibration or torsional load.
- Grades of Materials: Mild Steel, Carbon steel, Stainless steel (A2/A4) and alloy steel available depending on the structure requirements and exposure to the environment. Stainless Steel versions are designed to provide corrosion resistance whereas the Carbon Steel versions are designed to be of high strength to be used in mechanical assemblies.
- Additional Attributes: Available in hex, round, square and projection forms with different plating options which include zinc, phosphate or passivation. They can fit to vibration sensitive applications and are compatible with bolts, washers and threaded inserts. Weld Nuts guarantee consistent, flush-mounted threads which can be re-assembled and dis-assembled.
Weld Nuts Clients Project
Weld Nuts are used as permanent fixing points which make assembly processes easier and lessen the use of more fittings or complex designs of bolts. They can be welded directly to steel plate or shaped metal assemblies, which makes them destined to be used in the mass production facilities like automotive assembly plants and OEM fabrication factories.

Type of Sub-products

Round Base Weld Nuts Round Base Weld Nuts
These weld nuts feature a round base with typically three or four welding projections. They are versatile and widely used due to their ease of feeding in automated systems and consistent welding performance on flat surfaces. Common applications include automotive body panels, appliance frames, and general sheet metal fabrication where a strong, permanent threaded hole is required.

Square Base Weld Nuts Square Base Weld Nuts
Square base weld nuts have a square flange with welding projections on each corner, offering increased resistance to rotation during assembly and after welding. Their design provides a larger bearing surface, which can be advantageous for distributing load. They are often preferred in heavier duty applications, such as constructing chassis components, industrial machinery, and robust enclosures.
