Caliber Enterprise is a leading high tensile bolts manufacturer. High tensile bolts are precision fasteners made from alloy or medium carbon steel designed to withstand high stress, tension and load bearing conditions. Manufactured in grades such as 8.8, 10.9 and 12.9 these bolts offer superior tensile strength and durability compared to standard mild steel bolts. Available in various sizes and thread types high tensile bolts come in multiple head styles like hex, socket and flange heads. They are commonly used across industries such as automotive, construction, heavy machinery, oil and gas and infrastructure where structural integrity and long term performance are critical.
The production of high tensile bolts involves a rigorous process including forging, threading, heat treatment and protective coating such as zinc plating or galvanization. They are specifically designed for business to business applications in sectors like construction, manufacturing and heavy engineering. Quality is ensured through tensile testing, dimensional checks and adherence to international standards like ISO, ASTM and DIN. These bolts are ideal for demanding environments including high vibration, outdoor and pressure based systems.
Medium carbon steel bolts ideal for structural joints requiring balanced strength and durability.
High strength bolts suited for heavy machinery, automotive, and load bearing engineering applications.
What makes High Tensile Bolts different from regular bolts?
High tensile bolts are engineered with higher strength materials such as alloy or medium carbon steel and are heat treated to withstand greater loads shear stress and tension. Unlike standard bolts they are used in heavy duty applications that require superior mechanical strength. The base materials used to manufacture high strength bolts are also high strength. High strength steel commonly known as 45 steel 40 boron steel and 20 manganese titanium boron steel is used to make the screws nuts and washers of high strength steel bolts.
What is a high tensile bolt?
The majority of high strength bolts are in the 10.9 category, however there are also 8.8 and 10.9 categories. Ordinary bolts do not have screw holes which are automatically big in size as compared to the high strength bolts. High tensile bolts are better in place of stainless steel fasteners that are made to fit in different applications. These grades include 10.9, 8.8, DIN 933 grades among others. A lot of standards like the IS1364, IS1363, DIN EN ISO 4014 etc. are also present.
What standards do your High Tensile Bolts follow?
Our high tensile bolts follow globally recognized standards that ensure their strength reliability and compatibility across various industries. We manufacture bolts according to ISO 898-1 for mechanical properties and DIN 931 or DIN 933 for dimensional accuracy. For structural applications we also comply with ASTM A325 and ASTM A490 which specify requirements for heavy hex structural bolts used in steel to steel connections. Additionally BS 3692 and IS 1367 are followed for thread specifications and general bolt performance.
