These fittings are generally made out of carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel or PVC, and they are made to meet the specifications, such as ASME B16.9, in terms of dimensional consistency and strength. A cross tee is usually furnished with equal outlets (equal cross) or in reducing configurations according to the needs of the system.
